Got a Garbage Hound? We Can Help!

If you’ve got one of those canine garbage disposals—the kind of dog that is always getting into the trash or will eat anything—it’s hard to know when your pet just needs some time to digest or when he or she really needs a doctor.

If you think your dog may have ingested a foreign object, hazardous material, or is experiencing a bad reaction such as a rash, a regular visit to an emergency or full-service veterinary hospital is warranted. The same if your pet refuses to eat or drink and has vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours or if your pet is still eating and drinking, but diarrhea and vomiting are present for three days.

For non-emergency gastrointestinal issues such as minor diarrhea, Essentials PetCare offers a very affordable GI Upset Package for just $73. A doctor’s exam, reference lab and in-house diagnostic testing, and treatment recommendations are all included. We do ask that you bring a stool sample in a labeled bag or container when you visit with your pet.
