Ada Nieves is known for many things. Being a doggie treat baker, a certified pet fashion designer, and the organizer of Chihuahua Nation, the nation’s largest Chihuahua lovers’ group which has branches in New York City, New Jersey, and Florida. But she is most known for being the proud doggie mom to six Chihuahuas and one rescue cat.

A pet lover and philanthropist at heart, Ada has helped raise more than a million dollars for homeless pets over the years, mostly through her annual event, the New York Pet Fashion Show. At the event, dogs from all over the globe strut their stuff on the red-carpet wearing designer duds.

A native Puerto Rican that calls both NYC and Florida her home, she has appeared with her pets on dozens of shows and was featured in the book, One Nation Under Dog as the “Queen of Pet Networking.”
