Essentials PetCare offers virtual visits as a safe and convenient option to provide minor illness care and lab testing to current patients during the COVID-19 pandemic

LARGO, Fla. – Essentials PetCare announced a new way to provide minor illness care and select lab testing, all while maintaining CDC social distancing recommendations. Pets who have visited Essentials PetCare clinics in the last 11 months are eligible for a virtual veterinarian visit option.  

Qualifying pets and their owners may meet with Essentials PetCare veterinarians during a virtual video exam for all of the regular minor illness packages offered at Essentials PetCare.

Essentials PetCare is committed to providing the best care possible, so in addition to an online consultation with the doctor, some packages include a lab analysis of the area of concern. For ear, skin, GI upset and urinary packages, after having a teleconference with the veterinarian, pet parents will drop-off a sample from their pets in the lab box at the front of their local clinic – with no human contact. Essentials PetCare provides easy-to-follow instructions and videos to help with collecting the samples.

  • Ear Package: $45  
  • Skin Package: $50  
  • Ophthalmic/Eye Package: $40  
  • GI Upset Package: $60  
  • Urinary Package: $60  
  • Lameness/Limping Package (dogs only): $40  
  • Upper Respiratory Package (cats only): $40  
  • Intestinal Parasite Test: $35, or $25 when added-on or if a recheck  

The booking process is entirely contact-free. Once a client submits a visit request, an Essentials PetCare team member will give the client a call to discuss symptoms, services, collect payment, and complete booking over the phone.
