Meet Your Love Match

In November, Florida voters voted to ban greyhound racing in the state and committed to shutting down all eleven dog tracks in the state by January 2021. That means groups like the Greyhound Rescue and Adoptions of Tampa Bay (G.R.E.A.T.) will be tasked with finding these former racers forever home.

“Greyhounds make great pets, especially for families with children,” according to the group’s president, Don Goldstein, “They are loving, quiet, and gentle.”

We are teaming up with G.R.E.A.T. and hosting “Meet Your Love Match” on Saturday, February 9th, from 10-2pm in our walk-in veterinary clinic. The community is invited to visit the clinic that day to meet adoptable greyhounds and learn more about why they make great pets.

All the adoptable greyhounds are healthy, spayed/neutered, and are current on their vaccines. The adoption process involves an application process, home visit, and a nominal adoption fee. To learn more about G.R.E.A.T., visit great-greyhound.org.

Starting February 1st, adoptable greyhounds will also be featured on Essentials PetCare’s Facebook page. You can help these dogs get adopted by following @EssentialsPetCare on Facebook, and make sure to share each adoptable greyhound on your page.
